How do I use TenSec?

Clean your motorcycle chain (we recommend using Motul Chain Cleaner).
Allow the chain to dry completely.
Attach TenSec to your aerosol chain lube can.
Rotate the rear wheel slowly by hand while spraying.
TenSec’s 6-nozzle design applies lubricant evenly across all sides of the chain.
Let the lube set for based on aerosol's manufacturer recommendation before riding.

Is TenSec safe to use while the engine is running?

Accepted Answer

No. Never use TenSec while the motorcycle is on or the chain is moving under power.
Always apply chain lube with the motorcycle turned off and the rear wheel rotated manually. Using TenSec on a running bike can result in serious injury.

What chain types and sizes is TenSec compatible with?

Accepted Answer

TenSec works with most motorcycle chains, including standard, O-ring, X-ring, and Z-ring chains. It’s ideal for street, sport, ADV, and cruiser bikes.

TenSec is made for all popular chain sizes such as 525, 530, 535, 420, 428, 532, 630.

If your chain size is not in the TenSec product drop down list, select the Custom option, tell us about the chain size you need and we will make it for you.

Which lubricant brands does TenSec fit?

TenSec fits most standard aerosol spray cans, including Motul, Liqui Moly, Bel-Ray, Maxima, and others with a common valve stem. If you're unsure, contact us before ordering.

Should I clean my chain before using TenSec?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Proper lubrication starts with a clean chain.
We recommend:
Degreasing with Motul Chain Cleaner
Scrubbing with a chain brush
Drying thoroughly
This prevents dirt from getting sealed in with the lube and extends chain life.

How often should I lube my motorcycle chain?

Reapply every 300–600 miles for normal street riding, or after every wet or off-road ride. If your chain looks dry or starts to make noise, it's time to re-lube.
